Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients during a shift of duty. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care. The RN adheres to the standards of care for the area, manages the environment to maintain patient safety, and supervises the care activity performed by nursing assistants and helpers.

The RN follows all North Shore policies and procedures, performs duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act, and adheres to applicable JCAHO standards.

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficient with necessary supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.).
• Ability to calculate drug dosage accurately.
• Meets all health requirements imposed by law.
• Positive, effective, and appropriate communication with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and staff.
• Fluent reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English.
• Basic computer knowledge and aptitude for learning company applications.
• Experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous post‑acute care experience preferred.
