Job DescriptionAs a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will support plasma center operations at the Bio Life Plasma Services center. Your primary responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager or Assistant Manager for operational guidance and under the Center Physician for medical issues.
You will also provide center‑level support for Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives and may serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or technical issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate level recognition of an educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Licensed or certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- FDA‑approved training as a Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Compensation and Benefits SummaryU.S. hourly wage range: $23.85 – $32.79. Salary may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance; 401(k) plan with company match; short‑ and long‑term disability; life insurance; tuition reimbursement; paid volunteer time off; company holidays; well‑being benefits; up to 80 hours of sick time; up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
