Bright Star Care of Appleton & Green Bay is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who is ready to grow into a future Director of Nursing (DON) role!

This is a unique opportunity to combine meaningful patient care with professional development and leadership training. You'll start part-time at our Appleton office, working alongside our experienced Director of Nursing and receiving hands‑on mentorship in clinical operations, case management, quality assurance, and staff development.

• One‑on‑One Mentorship: Learn directly from an experienced Director of Nursing.
• Meaningful Patient Care: Maintain hands‑on clinical involvement while developing leadership experience.
• Leadership Development: Build your skills in clinical operations, staff supervision, quality assurance, and compliance.
• Growth Opportunity: Help establish and expand Bright Star Care's clinical services in Green Bay.

• Manage a small caseload of clients in the Appleton area, with opportunities to expand into Green Bay.
• Conduct nursing assessments, reassessments, and supervisory visits.
• Develop, review, and update individualized Plans of Care.
• Coordinate care with clients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
• Provide skilled nursing services as needed, including medication management, wound care, and infusion therapy.
• Monitor clinical documentation, client satisfaction, and quality of care.

• Work alongside the current Director of Nursing to learn clinical and operational responsibilities.
• Assist with clinical oversight, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Support staff orientation, education, and competency evaluations.
• Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to nursing and caregiving staff.
• Participate in clinical record reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
• Gradually assume greater responsibility for clinical operations as the Green Bay territory expands.

• Active, unrestricted Wisconsin RN license.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Appleton and Green Bay areas.

• BSN or higher nursing degree.
• Experience in home care, home health, infusion therapy, or case management.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience with wound care, medication management, or other skilled nursing services.
• Familiarity with clinical documentation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
