Job Overview
This position is based on our campus in Madison, WI, and requires relocation to the area. We recruit nationally and provide financial relocation assistance. The role is part of the Horticulture team and is responsible for maintaining Epic’s unique landscape, including gardens, green roofs, orchards, and prairies.
Responsibilities- Assist horticulturists with maintenance of garden areas, green roofs, orchard, and prairies.
- Perform mowing, trimming, mulching, watering, weeding, and composting.
- Execute strenuous outdoor work, including crouching, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Experience using commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work 40 hours per week through the growing season (~April‑~November).
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Live within 45 minutes of Epic’s campus in Verona, WI.
- COVID‑19 vaccination.
Pay starts at $20/hr seasonal employees accrue paid vacation and sick time. Employees who return for multiple seasons qualify for comprehensive health care benefits and sabbatical. Employees are eligible for merit‑based annual raises. All employees can participate in Epic’s 401(k).
