Job Description

The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that all products manufactured in the plant meet customer expectations in terms of quality, cost, and service. This role provides effective support for all plant functions and ensures compliance with all local, state, federal regulations, and corporate policies.

• Perform all activities associated with testing the physical and performance attributes of test products.
• Maintain current knowledge of accepted methods, specifications, standards, and tolerances.
• Place product that does not meet requirements on hold as needed.
• Evaluate all products, including test results and related information, to make informed decisions on passing, holding, rejecting, dispositioning, or reworking products and take appropriate action.
• Communicate to the appropriate personnel when product samples do not meet requirements.
• Responsible for accurate and thorough recording of all data and information related to quality.
• Enter product testing/results into a computer system.
• Maintain upkeep and maintenance of quality records.
• Ensure the day-to-day working conditions in the lab, including cleanliness, orderliness, safety, routine maintenance, sanitation, and organization of controls, samples, records, and files.
• Adhere to food safety, quality, and regulatory policies and procedures, and report any related concerns to the Production or Quality Supervisor.

• Degree in the Sciences or 2 years of Quality Experience in FDA regulated industries.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.

The pay range for this position is $21.78 - $24.78/hr.
