All About Food & Beverage

The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas of the store.

• Provide a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks’ food quality and freshness management.
• Follow state and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task.
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing, and storing reserve product.
• Be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks.
• Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent guest experience while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift.
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
• Produce handcrafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards.
• Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature-sensitive items.
• Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices.
• Identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practice.
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices.
• Follow perishable inventory procedures to ensure accurate recording of inventory.
• Execute sampling best practices.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and in your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
• Complete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up while maintaining compliance with laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing daily tasks and assist as needed.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.

• You are open to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times).

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.
