Job Title: Meat Clerk;
Reports To: Meat Manager

As a Meat Clerk, you'll be at the center of it all—answering questions, recommending cuts, and ensuring our meat cases are full, fresh, and ready for the next guest. If you're friendly, attentive, and love working in a fast-paced, retail food service environment, this is a great place to grow your skills and your career.

• Deliver Helpful Service: Provide exceptional guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, including fulfilling special orders and answering product questions.
• Maintain fresh, well-stocked displays: Inspect, rotate, and replenish meat products and supplies.
• Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Collaborate with the Team: Perform other duties as assigned.

  Ability to effectively engage with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates. Utilize strong written and verbal skills to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Safety: Willingness to learn food safety standards, proper equipment usage (like slicers), and inventory practices.
• Ability to Multitask: Stay customer service focused in a busy retail grocery environment.
• Safety Mindset: Understanding of safety and food safety practices and a commitment to following them. Includes knowledge of slicers, proper lifting techniques, trash compactor, baler, etc.

• Stand in one place for a long period of time, bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• Full range of upper body motion.
• Lifting up to 80 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures such as freezers, coolers, kitchens, and sales floor.
• Repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This is a part-time or full-time position with varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

• Weekly Pay & Premium Pay: Hourly associates are paid weekly. Part-time store associates receive a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays. Hourly full-time store associates receive time and a half on Sundays and select holidays.
