Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Stock produce or other merchandise
- Unload materials or equipment
- Inspect items for damage or defects
- Rotate product, first in, first out
- Check backroom stock daily and report to store Produce Manager the need to get all product out on the display floor and report happenings to your immediate supervisor
- Discuss goods or services information with customer, merchandising team, and/or sales team
- Attach identification information to products, items, or containers
- Inspect shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment
- Monitor inventories of products or materials
- Set up merchandise displays
- Remove debris or damaged produce items
- Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Forklift experience (or willingness to get certified and operate)
Job Type: Regular Part-time
Job Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 6:00am to 2:00pm (approximately 22.5 hours per week)
Work Location:
Appleton, WI and Green Bay, WI Woodman’s Food Market
Travel Requirements:
Travel between Appleton, WI and Green Bay, WI Woodman’s Food Market
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology
- Thorough understanding of merchandising policies and procedures
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory
- Represent Alsum Farms & Produce to external customers with professionalism
- Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team
- Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software
- Valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record and proof of motor vehicle insurance
- The ability to move product with a pallet jack, or by cart
- Various repetitive movements
- Good manual dexterity to perform required duties
- Exposure to airborne particles or fumes
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
- Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
