Location: Our local office is in Appleton, WI. The territory includes Appleton, surrounding areas, Green Bay, and other communities.
What You’ll DoAs a Direct Sales Supervisor you will coach and develop a team of Direct Sales Representatives to meet sales revenue targets, grow the customer base, and evaluate all aspects of consumer sales to ensure alignment with TDS’s mission and values. You will direct, supervise, train and evaluate performance, ensure day‑to‑day application of policies, grow revenues by acquiring new residential customers, and sell new products to existing customers.
Responsibilities- Hire, motivate and coach a sales team to meet/exceed revenue targets and performance expectations, conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews, provide day‑to‑day guidance, conduct team meetings, and handle employee issues with HR.
- Contact potential customers in person and via telephone to educate them on voice, data, and television services and obtain appointments.
- Write and submit accurate orders that comply with the sales process.
- Oversee orders from sales staff and remit them timely, abiding by the sales process.
- Manage customer accounts from initial sale through installation, perform telephone follow‑ups after install to ensure satisfaction.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales achievements to upper management.
- Meet with local satellite distributors and apartment owners to roll out TDS’s referral program.
- Maintain technical knowledge and interpersonal skills necessary for success. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (or higher) — OR — 2+ years professional work experience.
- 2+ years outside sales experience.
- 1+ year supervisory experience.
- Valid driver’s license, willing and able to travel as needed.
- Understanding of the telecommunication industry.
- Track record of success in residential sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, persuasive ability.
- Ability to work independently, identify problems, gather data, weigh facts, consult others, and make decisions.
- Computer literacy (Excel, Word, email, internet).
