Creative Sign Company, a leading sign manufacturing company, is seeking a Service Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in the sign industry or eager to start a career in the sign industry, with a focus on sign trouble shooting and maintenance. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and support, with opportunities for growth and skill development.

Key Responsibilities

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with signs, such as lighting malfunctions on neon, fluorescent, LED and EMC signs, wiring problems, or structural issues.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to assess the condition of installed signs and recommend repairs or upgrades to clients.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repair of installed signs, including electrical and LED components.
  • Follow instructions, plans and schematics to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Ensure service and maintenance is performed safely and in compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Operate tools and equipment such as ladders, lifts, and power tools to service signs at various locations, including rooftops and high-rise buildings.
  • Load and unload materials at job sites, ensuring safe handling and transport of equipment and signage.
  • Document all time and materials thoroughly and properly in Mothernode for all projects worked on, including any issues encountered on site and any changes or deviations from original design or scope of work.
  • Take completion photos of all finished installations and upload them to Mothernode by the end of the workday.
  • For all surveys, obtain accurate and complete measurements, color matches, site photos, and any other requested information and upload all information to Mothernode. If the expected scope of work is not recommended, obtain additional information, photos or video to share with the salesperson, Installation Supervisor, Service Supervisor, and/or customer, as applicable.
  • Leave the customer site cleaner than you found it. Wipe down signs, fix divots, and go above and beyond to meet or exceed customers’ aesthetic expectations.
  • Assist with the installation of various types of signs, including channel letters, dimensional signs, and other exterior and interior signage when needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing high-quality work and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and elevate issues to the appropriate supervisor if needed.
  • Keep a tidy and professional personal appearance.
Safety & Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, practices, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, teammates, and customers.
  • Ensure all work complies with local regulations, electrical codes, and company standards.
  • Participate in regular safety training sessions and adhere to OSHA regulations.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Any service, electrical or hospitality industry experience is a plus.
