Codeworks is an IT Services firm, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships. Our client is looking to bring aboard a Full Stack Developer with a focus on front end React development, coupled with some API work, to join their team on a long‑term contract basis, with the potential for this role to become a permanent position in the future.

We are seeking a highly skilled Full‑Stack Developer with strong expertise in API development, as well as UI development. This role will build scalable services, modern user interfaces, and contribute to a domain‑driven architecture that supports enterprise‑grade applications. The ideal candidate has experience across backend, frontend, automated testing, and modern engineering practices.

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Implement scalable, secure, and performant backend services aligned with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) principles.
• Collaborate with architects to define bounded contexts, aggregates, and domain models.
• Integrate with databases, messaging, and external systems using modern integration patterns.
• Build reusable libraries, components, and service templates for consistent API delivery.
• Implement error handling, logging, observability, and API standards (versioning, contracts, pagination).

• Develop responsive, accessible, and performant React user interfaces.
• Implement reusable UI components, state management (Redux or similar), and client‑side routing.
• Integrate UI with backend APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and error handling.
• Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes into production‑ready experiences.
• Ensure consistency with design system, usability standards, and front‑end best practices.

• Hands‑on software development experience (looking for 10+ years ideally)
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• Solid understanding of Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) concepts (entities, aggregates, value objects, domain events).
• Experience writing unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or React Testing Library.
• Experience integrating APIs with front‑end applications.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and system design skills.
• Experience with microservices or event‑driven architecture.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with API gateway, service mesh, or messaging systems (Kafka, SNS/SQS) is a plus.
