We are in search of a talented and energetic Web developer who will be responsible for solving the complex challenges presented by diverse manufacturing environments through software. A qualified candidate should possess strong design and analytical skills, and the ability to stay organized and productive across multiple development projects. Also, the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of subject matter experts and team members is a must.

As a Web developer with ITW Welding you are given the freedom to design applications and select tools based on the needs of the current project. Your code will have a lasting impact on our manufactured goods and services. We encourage our developers to keep the “big picture” in mind while implementing projects as many applications will be valuable across multiple business units and manufacturing processes.

Lastly, developers get the opportunity to engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and provide value added solutions.

Stack

We are typically on the Microsoft stack including IIS, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server but will use other technologies outside of Microsoft where it makes sense.

Skills
  • Strong full stack programming and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and software development
  • Understanding of design patterns and best practices
  • Experience designing and developing Web services
  • Ability to understand and design complex data models
  • Experience with ALM and its tools such as TFS, ADO or JIRA
  • Familiarity with a formal project methodology or Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
  • 2-4 years of development experience
  • Appreciate the need for continuous lifelong learning
  • Exhibit ethical, responsible and dependable behavior
  • Collaborative team player
