- Shuttle trailers from dispatch-provided locations.
- Possibility of dropping and hooking several times per hour.
- Strong backing abilities.
- Work 10- to 12-hour shifts.
- Pick up, deliver, and transfer freight within a small radius of the drop yard location, flexibly.
- Get in and out of a truck 10 to 12 times per hour when performing shuttle work.
- Raise and lower the landing gear by hand.
- Release kingpin lock on the 5th wheel by hand (5th wheel puller provided).
- Check temperature settings on refrigeration units.
- Fill fuel tanks on the truck and trailers.
- Communicate effectively via radio.
- Stay calm under pressure.
- Be available for weekend work as needed (every other Saturday).
