Strategic Sourcing Specialist — Industrial Procurement Join a team focused on precision, partnership, and performance. In this role, you will steward supplier relationships, create data-driven procurement plans, and ensure materials arrive on time and at the right cost and quality.

Role highlights

Core responsibilities
  • Research and identify reliable suppliers that meet organizational needs.
  • Evaluate suppliers on quality, cost, and delivery reliability; drive continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to secure favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing requirements and specifications.
  • Forecast demand and develop effective procurement plans.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and overstock.
  • Analyze market trends to pinpoint cost-saving opportunities.
  • Solicit and compare quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Optimize purchasing budgets in line with company goals.
  • Issue purchase orders and track delivery status end-to-end.
  • Confirm receipt accuracy for both quantity and quality.
  • Resolve delays, defects, and shipment discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or related field (required).
  • Professional certifications like CIPP or CIPM (preferred).
  • 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven negotiation, analytical, and communication skills; proficiency with procurement software; understanding of supply chain principles and market dynamics.
  • Track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and planning capability.
  • Effective communicator with operators, supervisors, and all management levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
