Position: Quality Inspector (CMM) - Precision Engineering
Quality Inspector (CMM) Precision Engineering Salary: £18 £ 21 per hour, depending on experience

Location:

Luton, Bedfordshire Working pattern:
Full-time, permanent 40 hours (Monday to Thursday 8am 5pm, Friday 8am 2pm) About the role Pact Engineering is a long-established, family-owned precision engineering company producing high-quality, complex components for the motor sport, food production and wider manufacturing sectors. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled Quality Inspector to help maintain the standards our customers rely on. This suits an experienced inspector, or a competent engineer ready to step into a dedicated quality role, who wants to develop within a well-run machine shop.

What you'll be doing Inspecting precision components and finished products against specification Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation Using precision measurement equipment including micrometers, gauges and CMM Identifying and reporting non-conforming components Producing detailed inspection reports and quality documentation Identifying defects, supporting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions Working with production teams to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defects Supporting the development and maintenance of quality procedures and ISO
9001 standards What you'll bring Experience in quality inspection within a precision engineering environment Experience programming and operating Aberlink Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO
