Storekeeper – Arbroath Depot

Salary £15.87 per hour.

A vacancy has arisen for a Storekeeper based at Arbroath Depot to assist the Engineering Manager and the Assistant Engineering Manager with parts and material requirements for current and future projects. The role supports a tight public‑service environment and requires confident use of computer systems, spreadsheets and reports.

As the primary point of contact for parts ordering and inventory management, the Storekeeper will be responsible for ordering parts for vehicles, procuring general depot materials, maintaining the store, and performing regular stock checks in line with company procedures and standards.

The successful candidate will be a motivated, self‑directed team player able to work effectively unsupervised, use initiative, handle pressure, and maintain strong communication with team members, suppliers and vehicle manufacturers.

• Order vehicle parts and general depot materials.
• Maintain and upkeep the store, ensuring stock checking aligns with company procedures.
• Use spreadsheets and reporting tools to track inventory and costs.
• Support the Engineering team with procurement needs and supply chain coordination.

• Proven experience with computer systems, including spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to handle pressure.
• Initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• Monday to Friday dayshift
• 39 hours per week
• Hourly rate £15.87
• Free bus travel for up to 2 bus passes (conditions apply)
