MPCTC Academic Instructor - Security & Law Enforcement Training

We are seeking a qualified, dynamic Academic Instructor to deliver multiple MPCTC‑approved courses, including:

• Maryland Guard Card / Security Guard Certification (initial 12‑hour & 8‑hour renewal)
• Wear & Carry (original & renewal courses)
• Other MPCTC‑approved law enforcement or security training modules

The ideal candidate will provide engaging, scenario‑based instruction while ensuring all course content meets MPCTC standards and state regulations.

• Deliver classroom and practical training for multiple MPCTC-certified programs.
• Ensure all instruction meets the curriculum objectives and state regulatory requirements.
• Develop lesson plans, training materials, assessments, and maintain detailed trainee records.
• Conduct hands‑on exercises, scenario training, and role‑play to reinforce learning outcomes.
• Track attendance, performance, and provide certificates of completion for submission.
• Maintain currency in all course topics, MPCTC regulations, and adult learning methodologies.
• Participate in curriculum review, training program updates, and compliance audits.
• Serve as a mentor and professional role model for trainees.

• Valid MPCTC Academic Instructor Certification or eligibility for certification.
• Knowledge and experience in security guard training, personal protection, or law enforcement.
• Experience teaching or instructing adult learners in professional courses.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deliver both classroom and hands‑on instruction effectively.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, or multiple sites.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and enforce safety and training standards.
