Responsibilities
  • Teach a full range of aviation courses including aviation history, safety, air traffic control, aviation fundamentals, and air transportation.
  • Work under the supervision of the Dean, School of Business, Technology & Law.
  • Lead aviation program marketing and promotion, student advisement and counseling, hosting aviation events on campus, teaching assigned courses, assisting in the design and update of program curricula, and participating in other college committees as assigned; work in conjunction with the Aviation Program Coordinator to oversee the program’s success.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate aviation experience and/or credentials and licenses to instruct in air traffic control as an Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) and/or flight operations as a pilot or certificated flight or ground instructor (CFI) or Aircraft Dispatcher.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the aviation field.
  • Teaching experience in collegiate aviation and technical expertise in flight simulation or air traffic control simulation systems will be advantageous.
  • Related aviation certifications, and distance learning experience preferred.

Pay Level: $1085 per credit hour
