Clinical Supervisor

o Provide documented clinical and administrative supervision of outpatient counseling and SA IOP clinical staff. Must be onsite a minimum of 50% of SA IOP operating hours.

o Provide routine training on relevant clinical matters.

o Provide or arrange clinical and technical assistance to clinical staff, as needed.

o Develop staffing schedules in concert with the Clinical Coordinator based on the persons served’s needs, interests, and/or desires, and the related strengths of clinical staff.

o Participate in treatment team meetings for high-risk persons served.

o Conduct performance evaluations of clinical staff and consult with senior management regarding results and recommendations.

o In concert with senior management, take appropriate disciplinary actions consistent with agency policies and procedures.

o Represent the agency at necessary meetings.

o Serve as a role model for professional and support staff by conducting oneself professionally and ethically, including promptness, communication, maintaining boundaries, representing the agency professionally, and complying with laws.

o Maintain therapeutic boundaries with consumers, families, and guardians.

o Be familiar with HIPAA regarding confidentiality.

o Have an understanding of Client Rights, abuse, neglect, and exploitation rules.

o Develop and demonstrate understanding of persons served, their preferences, behaviors, and goals.

o Have a basic understanding of mental health, symptomology, medications, and therapeutic interventions.

o Practice appropriate medication administration and documentation.

o Practice proper service records documentation per policies and procedures.

o Provide support services as scheduled, focusing on person-centered goals.

o Be a valued team member supporting individuals served.

o Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and persons served.

o Communicate ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing.

o Ability to plan and execute work effectively.
