Responsibilities
- Perform daily visual, dimensional, and mechanical field checks on piping & equipment to ensure the work is in strict accordance with the contract documents
- Execute/Oversee site inspections according to the contract documents
- Inspect incoming mechanical equipment, valves, and piping components against approved submittals, mill test reports (MTRs), and packing lists
- Witness and document pressure tests, such as hydrostatic or pneumatic testing of piping systems
- Identify, document, and track work deviations or defects, issuing NCRs and working with field superintendents on corrective actions
- Maintain daily quality logs, as-built markup records, and project turnover packages for the client
Requirements
- Experience in performing visual, dimensional, and mechanical inspections in industrial or construction environments
- Knowledge of inspection and test plans, NCR procedures, and quality documentation processes
- Ability to work on-site and conduct field inspections effectively
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
