Santa Anita Convalescent Hospital is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support accurate payroll processing, employee benefits, staffing reports, and assist with new hire orientation.

• Assist with accurate, timely payroll processing.
• Review timecards, missed punches, overtime, meal period exceptions, and payroll adjustments.
• Work with department managers to resolve timekeeping discrepancies and obtain required approvals.
• Track, review, and reconcile Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) hours and assist with reporting.
• Run reports for nursing and supporting departments to track staffing hours, hours worked, and overtime.
• Maintain accurate, confidential payroll and employee records.
• Assist employees with questions about paychecks, deductions, garnishments, accruals, and payroll discrepancies.
• Support benefits enrollment, changes, and open enrollment.
• Assist with new hire orientation, including preparing materials and supporting completion of payroll and onboarding forms.

• 1–2 years of hands‑on payroll processing experience.
• ADP Workforce payroll processing experience.
• High school diploma.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accurate data entry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to meet deadlines, communicate professionally, and protect confidential employee information.

• Healthcare or skilled nursing facility payroll experience.
• Familiarity with PBJ reporting and nursing staffing hours.
• Associate degree in business, accounting, or a related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
