Compensation: This is an exempt position with a monthly salary of $4,500 during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, the base rate increases to $5,000 per month.
Role
Summary:
The Merchant Consultant is the first point of contact for our clients, serving as a brand ambassador to introduce our business solutions. An ideal candidate is goal‑driven, resilient, and people‑oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Generate leads, make cold calls, and prospect potential clients
- Conduct in‑person meetings to determine customer needs and present customized payment, merchant financing, and marketing solutions
- Perform pricing analysis by assessing clients’ payment processing statements and initiate proposals accordingly
- Follow up with potential merchants by reviewing product features, benefits, and terms
- Close sales in a timely and effective manner
- Navigate potential lead sources and develop new lead sources
- Develop new sales opportunities within the existing client base
- Build and maintain relationships with referrals and affiliates
- Create and develop marketing programs to increase sales
Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. at the time of hire (E‑Verify employer)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2‑3 years of sales and/or customer service experience required
- Previous experience in the merchant service industry is an asset
- Strong communication skills, critical thinking, detail‑oriented, and analytical abilities
- Strong desire to succeed in a competitive market and self‑motivated
- Able to work independently and driven by results
