Program Manager, EV Charging Infrastructure
Location: This is a remote role but candidates must live in California for the occasional in-person meetings at our Southern California headquarters (Arcadia, CA).
Position Summary
The Program Manager, EV Charging Infrastructures is responsible for managing the successful execution of EVCS EV charging station projects and programs, managing projects and programs from concept, through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, while meeting project requirements within the contracted scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
The ideal candidate for the role will be knowledgeable of construction best practices and project and program management methodologies, an excellent communicator, a collaborative, problem solver, and action-oriented leader with exceptional business acumen and the ability to translate business challenges into actionable solutions in a highly complex, rapidly evolving environment.
Responsibilities- Manage projects and programs from origination to commissioning and close out, consistent with EVCS’s values and guidelines with respect to safety, quality, and business ethics.
- Oversee and drive project and program’s scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, stakeholder communication, risks, and procurement to meet project and program requirements.
- Lead a diverse team of designers, technicians, construction personnel, contractors, consultants, among others, and assign tasks setting and communicating clear expectations.
- Create and analyze financial information such as budgets, cost expenditures, and milestone forecasting against project and program schedule to enable overall project and program financial health.
- Control costs by planning and reviewing cost expenditures, negotiating price & costs with vendors, optimizing resource allocations and timing of activity, and performing risk assessments to forecast and mitigate potential costs impacts.
- Build and maintain project and program schedules and key milestones in collaboration with design, construction, finance, funding, and other stakeholders.
- Forecast project and program cost expenditure based on the project and program schedule and anticipated spend timing.
- Create and manage the project and program milestone payment forecast based on the project and program schedule, the funding program, and when key milestones can be invoiced.
- Update key project and program information in project and program software in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain all project and program documentation, ensuring key documents are captured and stored throughout the project and program life.
- Facilitate work across the project and program team, develop a project and program schedule, lead meetings to facilitate requirements gathering, plan and track progress, manage and mitigate project and program risks, troubleshoot problems as they arise, and develop solutions to barriers and challenges to success to deliver projects and programs on time, within budget and scope, and with a keen focus on effective and consistent communication.
- Recommend sequences for actions, procurement and purchases and coordinates necessary meetings to ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
- Support the company’s objectives of continuous improvement by reviewing, incorporating, and contributing to lessons learned, and suggesting changes to process and procedure to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of project and program execution.
- Act as a single point of contact with the stakeholder, consistently communicating project and program progress, facilitating the resolution of issues, and following up on Deliverables.
- Lead project and program meetings, presentations with stakeholders, internal reviews, and meetings with vendors.
- Monitor change orders and negotiations on additional work.

- Minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience as a project and program manager in construction or energy industry.
