FSQA Manager - Field

Location: Hybrid – Arcadia HQ (Hybrid – Arcadia HQ and the ability to travel up to 45% within the Greater LA area to visit all store locations and suppliers).

Compensation: $112,000 - $140,000 Annual Salary (Base salary or hourly wage range will vary based on experience, expertise, business needs, and market factors. About

The Role

The Field FSQA Manager ensures the safety and quality of all food ingredients, recipes, and preparation processes across Din Tai Fung's North American locations. This role will be responsible for ensuring food products meet corporate and regulatory standards. Develops, reviews, and/or oversees the implementation of policies, procedures, and training programs related to food safety. Is a recognized subject matter expert in a job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities
  • Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from the manager
  • Providing coaching, conducting performance reviews, and delegating tasks to junior‑level professionals.
  • Conduct store visits to support recipe preparation and ensure compliance with food safety standards and corrective actions
  • Conduct Supply Chain audits and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Team to vet new suppliers
  • Investigate food safety or quality issues and determine root causes
  • Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Provide technical support for new product launches
  • Prepare KPI reports and summarize findings for FSQA trends
  • Support health department inspections and address non‑conformities

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in food safety and quality assurance, preferably in a multi‑unit food service or retail environment.
  • Experience managing diverse food categories, including proteins, produce, and dry items.
  • Proven ability to conduct audits and manage supplier relationships in both national and international contexts.
Certifications
  • HACCP certification is required.
  • Serv Safe Manager certification is required.
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. and international food safety regulations and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to work with cross‑functional teams and external partners across global operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
Preferred Requirements
  • Prior experience as Health Department Inspector
  • Prior experience in similar role with another chain restaurant
  • Bilingual – Spanish
Essential Functions
