Street Light Technician

We are Currently seeking street light technicians who are dependable, quick learners. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Job Overview:

Installation and conversion of street lighting fixtures/circuits/components for utility owners. Tasks may include: replacing older high pressure sodium street light fixtures with new LED fixtures, replacing wires in poles or brackets, operating a bucket truck, installing street light poles, pulling wire underground, making connections in hand holes, test street lighting circuits/fixtures, troubleshoot wiring issues, locate street lights using addresses or GPS coordinates.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Grad / GED
• Valid Driver’s License (NON CDL)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of relevant, verifiable work experience
• Possess CDL & Heavy Equipment Operating Experience (Verifiable)

Position Description & Responsibilities:

• Always expected to practice all safety standards and wear appropriate PPE
• Maintains & operates all tools, equipment, and vehicles in an efficient manner
• May be required to work extended hours & travel throughout the state of Florida.
• Must be able to work in direct sunlight and/or at night.
• Must be physically able to perform all assigned tasks.
• Ability to work on a team with a high level of self-accountability.
• Provide your own hand tools required for the job.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of electrical components and systems.
• Working closely to high voltage electrical lines and components.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of electrical equipment and tools including multimeter and bucket truck.
• Be acutely aware of your surroundings and maintain a safe work area while close to traffic
• Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must follow all company rules and policies.
