Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, support seasonal resets and installations when needed, and occasionally work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

  • Starting hourly pay rate: $14.00 to $16.00, depending on skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • Part‑time position with a variable weekly schedule.
  • Average weekly hours: 4–8.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Use a Hallmark‑provided mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products in and around the Hallmark department, using technology for communication, reporting, and feedback.
  • Holiday support:
    During peak holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), additional days and extended hours may be required, including works on the actual holiday.
  • Department resets:
    Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections, normally with two‑week advance notice; may involve evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    Support other merchandisers as needed throughout the Hallmark field organization network.
Physical Requirements

This role is physically demanding, requiring consistent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. It also requires kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and climbing stairs or ladders.

Basic Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to operate a digital handheld device.
  • Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on schedule.
