Position OverviewWe're seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Utilization Review or Utilization Management for a 13-week contract in Northern California.
This opportunity is ideal for an RN who enjoys clinical documentation review, evaluating medical necessity, and supporting appropriate patient care and resource utilization.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview patient medical records and clinical documentation.
Evaluate medical necessity and appropriateness of healthcare services.
Support utilization management processes and clinical review requirements.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to promote appropriate care and resource utilization.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow applicable policies and clinical guidelines.
RequirementsMinimum 3 years of nursing experience.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Proof of a negative TB screen within the past 12 months.
Ability to work the scheduled weekday day shift.
Location & HousingThe assignment is in the Arcata, California area. Temporary housing may be available in Arcata, Eureka, McKinleyville, Blue Lake, Samoa, or Fortuna.
