EHS Manager – SIMONA AMERICA Industries
SIMONA America Industries is seeking a highly qualified Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s safety and environmental programs. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by upholding all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. The EHS Manager will collaborate closely with leadership and employees at all levels to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities include conducting safety audits, overseeing incident investigations, developing and executing corrective action plans, and promoting a strong, proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive safety and environmental programs.
- Champion compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Proactively identify potential hazards and implement innovative risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure best‑in‑class practices.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and drive effective corrective action plans.
- Deliver dynamic safety training to employees and foster a culture of accountability.
- Oversee hazardous waste disposal and environmental compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership and employees to continuously strengthen our culture of safety and environmental stewardship.

- Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for an extended period of time.
- Ability to stand stationary, as needed.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Must be able to work in an office with others nearby.
- Ability to work 40+ hours/week to support training and be flexible with these hours to meet training needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of proven experience in EHS management.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
- Strong OSHA knowledge, including OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills and ability to inspire others.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Hands‑on experience with hazardous waste disposal and environmental compliance.
- Certification in EHS management preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- This position currently has no direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as a key influencer and leader in driving safety culture.
- This role operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.
- This is a full‑time position;
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Travel is less than 10% for this role.
