Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for sustaining and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS) through proactive process control, nonconformance management, structured root cause analysis, and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions. This role ensures that all products consistently meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations by executing robust inspection, testing, and process verification activities.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, document, and maintain records of product and process nonconformances.
  • Lead investigations into deviations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and other cross‑functional teams to prevent recurrence.
  • Facilitate structured problem‑solving using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA.
  • Develop, implement, and verify the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct follow‑up audits and analyze performance data to confirm long‑term resolution.
  • Develop, maintain, and update process control plans and inspection procedures.
  • Analyze process and quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support statistical process control (SPC), capability studies, and risk assessments.
  • Perform and oversee in‑process and final product inspections in accordance with specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with dimensional, visual, and functional requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inspection documentation and support traceability systems.
  • Utilize measurement and testing equipment including calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and other gauges.
  • Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities as required.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
  • Participate in internal, customer, and third‑party audits.
  • Support document control, change management, and continuous improvement of QMS processes.

Required Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
  • Proficiency in quality methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, and CAPA.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards.
  • Experience using ERP, MES, or Quality Management System platforms.
Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervisory responsibilities; position serves as key influencer and leader in driving safety culture.

Work Environment

Operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment, routinely using standard office equipment.

Position Type / Hours of Work

Full‑time;
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

Travel less than 10% of the time.
