Field Inventory Planner III About the Role
At Boston Scientific, the Field Inventory Planner III is a key contributor to operational excellence and cross‑functional effectiveness. This role requires strong analytical ability, exceptional organizational skills, and a methodical, detail‑oriented approach. You will collaborate closely with Field Sales, Sales Operations, and Marketing to optimize field inventory levels and support successful new product launches. Serving as a subject‑matter expert in inventory optimization and product lifecycle management, this position supports internal and external partners to ensure compliance, minimize risk, and maintain high service levels for customers and field teams.
The ideal candidate brings strong Excel skills, a willingness to learn and be coached, excellent customer service skills, and a solid understanding of process flows. This role is responsible for executing launch guidelines, managing consignment programs, and driving inventory optimization to support overall business performance.
YourResponsibilities Include
- Manage the execution of new product launches by developing and implementing procedures that ensure successful field deployment.
- Communicate effectively across the organization and deliver inventory performance reviews to sales leadership.
- Act as an engaged, collaborative team member by demonstrating motivation, leadership, and adherence to departmental best practices.
- Maintain effective inventory processes and controls to achieve goals related to accuracy, service levels, and inventory turns.
- Support general inventory reporting needs, including cycle counts, inventory turn analysis, and related metrics.
- Provide ongoing education to the Sales Force on consignment program compliance, field inventory levels, and reporting requirements.
- Develop long‑term inventory strategies that support sales growth, operational efficiency, and customer service objectives.
- Partner with key account teams to support business development initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Lead team members through process improvements and drive positive organizational change.
- Demonstrate confidence and effectiveness in negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Make strategic decisions aligned with business goals while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Manage challenging situations with professionalism, composure, and focus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in business support, analysis, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently, and capable of following established workflows.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Experience managing consignment or field inventory programs.
- Experience with Salesforce program management.
- Experience with SAP, GSR, and Tableau.
- Familiarity with contracting language.
Requisition
Minimum Salary: $63,900
Maximum Salary: $121,400
The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see – will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs.
At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non‑exempt (hourly), non‑sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
