Job Description

Northland Staffing Solutions is hiring Assembly Technicians for our client located in Arden Hills, MN. The Assembly Technician will be assembling custom hydraulic hose assemblies according to work instructions, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This role includes measuring and cutting hose, selecting, and installing fittings, crimping, performing quality inspections, pressure testing (when required), labeling, and packaging finished products.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read work instructions and assembly drawings. The position requires the ability to use measuring tools, accurately read a tape measure, convert decimals to fractions, calculate hose cut lengths (CL), verify overall assembly lengths (OAL), and follow standardized work instructions. Candidates must be able to maintain quality standards while meeting established production cycle times and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of heavier items using proper lifting techniques or mechanical assistance.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements while assembling products.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, kneel, and occasionally squat during the workday.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, crimping equipment, and measuring devices.

Duties:

• Put together, clean, tag and mark hose assemblies according to customer requirements and Company quality assurance practices.
• Assemble kits, sub-assemblies and other value-added items according to customer requirements and Company quality assurance practices.
• Prepare assembled items for shipping
• Operate a hydraulic hose saw

Qualifications:

• Mechanically oriented and comfortable working with tools and equipment
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
• Comfortable reading measurements and using a tape measure
• Able to understand and accurately read both decimal and fraction measurements
• Able to work in a hands-on manufacturing/assembly environment

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job-Type:
Full Time, Day Shift Hours with occasional overtime
