Job Summary
Registered Nurse Casual – Urgent Care (Health Partners)
Position PurposeProvide high-quality patient care in the urgent care department. Serve as an effective multidisciplinary team member, delivering comprehensive assessments, nursing plans, and patient education.
Responsibilities- Deliver acute and ambulatory care to patients in urgent care setting.
- Perform nursing assessment using interviewing, observation, and procedures.
- Develop and implement care plans, including triage, IV administration, catheterization, and documentation.
- Delegate nursing tasks, supervise staff, and monitor patient progress.
- Provide emotional, intellectual, and psychological support to patients and families.
- Coordinate with other health care team members and refer patients appropriately.
- Use clinical competence and nursing process to meet standards of care.
- Perform health coaching, population management, and patient education.
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience in ambulatory or inpatient settings.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in Minnesota.
- Current RN licensure in Wisconsin within two months of hire.
- Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross (online certification not accepted).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Physical ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods, speech, hearing, sight, and manual dexterity; proficiency in English; other languages may be required; some positions may have lifting requirements.
- One year full‑time employment as an RN.
- Apply nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation—for patient care.
- Document accurately and maintain comprehensive records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; make referrals; use resources to schedule appointments.
- Provide continuity of care across settings.
