Salary: Commensurate With Experience and Qualifications

Position SummaryThe Victim Compensation Clerk is a grant funded position designed to aid victims in submitting compensation claims, submitting claims in the District 20 area and appealing board decisions when necessary.
Job DescriptionInform victims of their rights under Oklahoma Law, notify victims and/or witnesses of the status of their court cases and claims, including scheduled court dates, changes in dates and the disposition of the case. Assist with assigned prosecutor in seeing that the witnesses appear in court as needed.
Minimum RequirementsMust possess basic secretarial skills: typing, word processing, spelling, grammar, math and computer experience.
Education and ExperienceMust have a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of Word.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentMust be professional in work ethic with the public, law enforcement agencies, lawyers and court officials. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk and carry items for short distances. This position requires that the individual can lift a minimum of 20 lbs.
