Registered Respiratory Therapist; Non-Exempt

Job Profile Summary

Provides direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy and serves as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff. Performs duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure:
  Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Experience:
  
  None.
• Certifications:
  
  Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co‑workers who work in the Emergency Room, PALS is required.
• Other:
  Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Equipment used: all appropriate respiratory care devices.

  Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
