Position OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position is essential in supporting patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a patient‑centered environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and passionate about providing quality healthcare to diverse patient populations.
Exceptional Customer Service- Communicate and work effectively with people of varying backgrounds, healthcare professionals, and support staff at all levels.
- Maintain respect and regard for the dignity of all patients and their families/caregivers.
- Process inbox messages in a timely manner.
- Return messages and relay pertinent information to patients or other entities as needed.
- Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist with procedures.
- Clean and sanitize rooms after each patient.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health and psychosocial needs, and develop collaborative treatment plans with patients (and their family or caregivers) and the healthcare team.
- Record all interventions (phone, email, in‑person) in patient charts, and compile and produce reports on service delivery and outcomes.
- Work with the RN Care Team Director and Clinical Operations Director to obtain data for outcome measurement reporting.
- Report patient progress in patient files and to medical staff.
- Perform basic laboratory and point‑of‑care testing.
- Maintain patient medical records and work with providers to send medication refills to the appropriate pharmacy.
- Provide care to patients from newborns to geriatrics, including women’s health, OB, immunizations, and more.
- Communicate relevant information to various departments to maintain continuity of care.
- Stay up to date with immunization changes.
- Obtain vital signs (including manual blood pressure) and perform screenings/measurements.
- Provide patient education as needed.
