Physical Therapist-Weekend; Non-Exempt

Job Overview

Under the general supervision of the Rehab Therapy supervisor at the Rehab Center at Mercy Health Center, and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, performs objective assessments, as well as comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsible for direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Act. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Education:
  
  Current license of Physical Therapy in the applicable state of practice or registry eligible. Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure:
  Current license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.

  BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

  Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

• Physical Requirements:
  • Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
