Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Back of House staff member to join our team at Swadley’s BBQ. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high‑quality BBQ dishes and ensuring that every meal meets our standards for excellence and flavor. If you love creating delicious food and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, we would love to meet you!
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of BBQ dishes, including meats, sides, and sauces according to our established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure that food is safely prepared and cooked to the desired level.
- Help stock and manage kitchen supplies, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to create a positive and efficient working environment.
- Assist in menu development and contribute new ideas for BBQ specials.
- Support other kitchen staff as needed, including prep work and cleaning tasks.
- Previous experience as a cook in a fast‑paced environment, preferably in a restaurant setting. BBQ experience is a plus!
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to pass E‑Verify screening.
