Field Service Technician - Ardmore Join the team at Clarence L. Boyd as a Field Service Technician and put your mechanical skills to work servicing industry-leading John Deere construction equipment. Position Summary The Field Service Technician is responsible for independently diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment at customer locations. This position operates a company service truck and serves as a professional representative of the dealership by providing efficient service solutions, exceptional customer support, and quality workmanship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment and related systems in the field.

Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and electronic control systems.

Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, labor, and parts usage on work orders.

Maintain service truck inventory, tools, and equipment.

Communicate equipment status, repair recommendations, and completed work to customers in a professional manner.

Meet productivity and efficiency expectations. Efficiency: maintains 90% on a 12-month average.

Operate and maintain company vehicles and diagnostic equipment safely and responsibly.

Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

Participate in manufacturer and company training programs to maintain technical proficiency.

Qualifications3-5 years of heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, diesel, or related repair experience.

Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Experience with computer-based diagnostic software and service tools.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.

Valid driver's license required.

Must possess an adequate technician toolset.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and perform physical tasks associated with equipment diagnostics and repair.
