Hybrid - 4 days/ week in-office - Ardmore, PA

Property / Staff Accountant

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Property/Staff Accountant to support the daily accounting operations across multiple residential communities. This role manages cash activity, partners with Community Managers on resident payments, and ensures accurate financial reporting.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and bank reconciliations
  • Manage cash disbursements, review invoices, monitor cash flow, and prioritize payments
  • Reconcile electronic payments, review rent rolls, and process deposits as needed
  • Handle month-end journal entries and create financial packages (income statement, balance sheet, cash tie-ins, A/R, escrows, security deposits)
  • Generate monthly reporting for internal teams and ownership groups
  • Support audits with required schedules and documentation
  • Assist with construction accounting: invoice entry, project budgets/specs, AP/AR support, CAM reconciliations, project milestone tracking, and contract documentation
  • Maintain organized audit files and gather accounting data from vendors and managers
  • Obtain COIs, W-9s, and required backup documentation
  • Provide on-site training to team members as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in multi-family or property management
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with Yardi software
  • Excellent accounting, financial, and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization abilities
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with a customer-service mindset
