Position

Blood Bank Technologist – Day Shift (one weekend per month, one summer/one winter holiday). Training period is 8 weeks. Must pass competency testing. Will travel to all MLH sites.

Experience
  • 1. Previous Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience is preferred
  • 2. Skills necessary to perform procedures in the Laboratory Procedures manual include specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of test results.
  • 3. Ability to distinguish color differences
  • 4. Ability to troubleshoot instrument problems
  • 5. Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred
Education
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Must have graduated from an approved Clinical Laboratory Scientist program or related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent education may be acceptable provided it meets the grandfather clause set forth by CLIA.
Licensures/Certifications

MT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred
