Duties

And Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service: welcome and connect with each customer, recommend products, and enhance the shopping experience.
• Provide product demonstrations and sampling.
• Produce high‑quality products in accordance with company standards: serve only items that meet visual and product quality standards.
• Demonstrate knowledge and practice of safe food handling, and follow merchandising, stock, rotation, and storage standards.
• Present yourself in a clean, professional manner during every shift.

Contribute to Store Profitability

• Follow proper cash handling procedures and register policies.
• Follow inventory and stock guidelines.

Assume Responsibility to Learn and Demonstrate Knowledge as a Barista

• Be self‑initiated in learning beyond the standard training program.
• Learn and demonstrate all standards of product and conduct established by The GIANT Company and Starbucks.

Qualifications

• Preferable supervisory and/or barista experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have valid identification.
• Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including but not limited to regular attendance.
• Special skills: customer focus, strong interpersonal skills, and a food handling certificate preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4‑hour shifts or more depending upon business needs.
• Job cycles: continual max.
• Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
• Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.
