Special Education Teacher - Litchfield Park, Arizona

Step into an impactful teaching position guiding young learners in a K-2 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to support students' growth and development while collaborating with a dedicated school team. You'll work on-site, Monday through Friday from 7:45am to 3:15pm, ensuring consistency and engagement for students needing specialized instruction.

• Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience or strong interest in K-2 ASD/ESE populations
• Knowledge of IEP development and case management
• Skillful in adapting curriculum for diverse learning needs

• Capable of effective communication with students, families, and colleagues

• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the ASD program
• Develop engaging classroom activities tailored to each child's ability level
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Monitor student progress and communicate updates to parents and staff
• Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and grade-level teachers
• Document student assessments and maintain compliance with district and federal guidelines
