CMI is seeking an experienced Site Safety Officer (SHO) to support a mining project in Bagdad, Arizona. This is a high-priority, immediate-need position for a 3–6 month assignment at an active mine site.

• Ensure full compliance with MSHA and site-specific safety standards
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
• Lead site-specific safety orientations and toolbox talks
• Collaborate with site leadership to proactively mitigate risks
• Maintain documentation of incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
• Support daily operations while promoting a strong safety culture

• Current MSHA certifications (required)
• Demonstrated experience in mining or heavy industrial construction environments
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state mining safety regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to respond to incidents and coordinate investigations

• Ability to walk, stand, and work in rugged outdoor environments
• Must be able to wear all required PPE, including respirators and fall protection
• Must be able to climb ladders and navigate uneven terrain
