Wee Care has been serving families in our community and surrounding areas since 2006. We offer home and community based services and therapy services to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve and maintain their highest level of independence.
We currently have immediate needs for direct support providers to work with several individuals in the Litchfield Park area.
20 year old Male needs Attendant Care, Habilitation and Respite support. Fridays 3-9pm;
Saturdays and Sundays 8 hours per day;
An overnight quarterly if possible.
*** Outings required on the weekends. Multiple providers can be considered to meet the schedule needs.
14 year old Female needs Habilitation support Wednesdays 2pm-6pm;
Thursdays 3-6pm
11 year old Female needs a respite provider Saturdays 10am-6pm
The ideal candidates would have experience with providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their home and in the community and be committed to their health and safety.
Direct Support Provider will support the individual with their daily living skills and goals, which may include feeding, bathing, oral hygiene, incontinent care, transfers and transportation.
Direct Support Providers will support the individual in their home and the community.
Qualifications:
- Motivation to make a positive impact in the life of another individual
- Promote self esteem with an individual and be an advocate for them
- Working experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification a plus
- Article 9 certification a plus
- Have or be able to Obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance
- Introduction to Developmental Disabilities certificate a plus
- Ability to work in the United States
- Ability to work required shifts
- Have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
