What We Are Looking ForNext Care Urgent Care is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Medical Front Office Receptionist. The role requires a customer‑friendly, passionate employee who thrives in a fast‑paced, team environment and prioritizes patients and employees alike.
ResponsibilitiesMedical Front Office Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients at the clinic and is responsible for keeping patients and families informed of wait times, monitoring patient flow, processing patients for discharge – including preparing charges, collecting payment, obtaining required signatures and issuing receipts – and handling additional duties listed below:
- Obtain personal and insurance data from the patient and input information into the EMR system.
- Monitor the flow of patients, including placing patients into rooms as needed.
- Complete all necessary insurance forms for registration to ensure proper reimbursement from payors.
- Prepare daily deposit, reconciliation, and statistical information.
- Ensure an adequate stock of front‑office supplies and proper functioning of equipment.
- Answer telephone utilizing quality customer‑service skills.
- Ensure patient waiting area and restrooms are clean and reflect a positive image of Next Care.
- Manage patient appointments scheduled via the Next Care website.
- Notify back office immediately of any urgent medical concerns a patient may be experiencing.
- Educate patients on services offered by Next Care for their current or next visit.
- Promptly notify the Clinic Manager of any patient or employee safety concerns.
The Medical Front Office Receptionist supports the organization by delivering exceptional customer service, respecting and dignifying all patients, and ensuring the clinic and front reception area run smoothly to maintain optimal patient flow and satisfaction.
Essential Education, Experience And SkillsEducation: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate or equivalent is highly desired.
