Overview
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships between the residential treatment center and the community, including referral sources, healthcare professionals, local organizations, and potential clients. This role involves outreach, education, and engagement efforts to promote the center’s services, support admissions, and enhance the facility’s reputation in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Outreach & Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain relationships with local healthcare providers, hospitals, social service agencies, schools, and community organizations. - Outreach & Relationship Building:
Serve as the primary point of contact for referral sources and community partners. - Outreach & Relationship Building:
Represent the treatment center at community events, health fairs, conferences, and networking meetings. - Marketing & Public Relations:
Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness of the center’s programs and services. - Marketing & Public Relations:
Conduct presentations and educational sessions about substance use disorders, mental health treatment, and available resources. - Marketing & Public Relations:
Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, social media content, and community engagement campaigns. - Client Engagement & Admissions Support:
Assist potential clients and their families in understanding treatment options and navigating the admissions process. - Client Engagement & Admissions Support:
Work closely with the admissions team to ensure a smooth transition for clients referred from community partners. - Client Engagement & Admissions Support:
Provide follow-up and support to referral sources regarding client progress and outcomes. - Community Advocacy &
Education:
Advocate for mental health and addiction recovery resources within the community. - Community Advocacy &
Education:
Develop partnerships with local leaders to support initiatives aimed at improving mental health and addiction treatment access. - Community Advocacy &
Education:
Stay informed about industry trends, policy changes, and best practices related to residential treatment.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, marketing, communications, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Experience in community outreach, marketing, healthcare, or social services, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of addiction treatment, mental health services, and the healthcare system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and social media platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the community.
- Good understanding of general business procedures, including sales and marketing, and operations
