Senior SQL Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Developer to join our technology team at V2 Retail
. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL development, database optimization, and data integration
. This role involves working on complex queries, stored procedures, and large-scale database systems
, while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability in collaboration with business and engineering teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  .

• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and caching
  .

• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and scalable database structures
  .

• Support ETL processes, data migrations, and enterprise system integrations
  .

• Ensure database security, stability, and recoverability
  .

• Collaborate with BI, analytics, and application teams to deliver data-driven solutions
  .

• Monitor and troubleshoot query execution plans and performance bottlenecks
  .

• Provide production support and root cause analysis
  .

• Create and maintain technical documentation (ER diagrams, data dictionaries, process flows).

• Mentor junior developers and uphold database best practices
  .

• 6+ years of professional experience as an SQL Developer / Database Engineer
  .

• Advanced expertise in SQL (T-SQL/PL-SQL) and performance tuning
  .

• Strong experience with RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgre
  
  SQL, or MySQL).

• Solid understanding of database design principles (normalization, indexing, partitioning).

• Hands‑on experience with ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.).

• Proven ability to optimize large-scale, high-volume transactional databases
  .

• Proficiency in query tuning and troubleshooting execution plans
  .

• Experience with
  stored procedures, functions, and triggers
  .

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Dev Ops practices
  .

• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Experience with
  cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP SQL, Snowflake, Big Query).
