** The opportunity
**** Database Administration
*** Install, configure, and upgrade
** Oracle
* * and
** MS SQL Server
** databases.

Create and manage database instances, schemas, and security roles.
* Perform proactive monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization of database environments.
** Backup & Recovery
*** Implement and maintain backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies (e.g., RMAN, Always On, Log Shipping, or third-party tools).
* Regularly test recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
** Performance & Optimization
*** Analyze execution plans, indexes, and queries to enhance performance. Optimize storage and memory usage for efficiency.
** High Availability & Replication
*** Manage clustering, replication, and failover solutions (Oracle RAC, Data Guard, SQL Always On).
* Monitor uptime and ensure SLA compliance
** Security & Compliance
*** Apply patches and security updates to maintain compliance with IT policies
* Implement access controls, encryption, and auditing.
** Collaboration & Support
*** Work with development teams to support database design and query optimization.
* Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents and troubleshooting.
** Documentation & Automation
*** Maintain proper documentation for processes, configurations, and procedures.
* Automate repetitive tasks using scripts or tools
