Job Title:

Systems Administrator - UNIX

Clearance Level: Secret, Must Have Clearance to Start

• DoW 8140 Compliance
  - CompTIA Security+ or Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Systems Security Certified Practitioner
• Certifications in Red Hat Linux or Unix OS administration

Responsibilities include:

• System Administration
  :
  Install, configure, and maintain servers running Red Hat Linux operating systems, adhering to established internal processes.
• Upgrades and Maintenance
  :
  Recommend hardware and software upgrades based on growth statistics. Schedule, plan, and perform system upgrades, including coordinating the transition from test to production environments.
• Monitoring and Performance
  :
  Monitor log files and system performance to identify and resolve software, operating system, and networking problems in mission-critical systems.
• Backups and Recovery
  :
  Schedule, perform, and monitor system backups and, when necessary, perform data recoveries.
• Hardware Configura
  tion:
  Configure hardware, such as workstations, printers, servers, and tape devices.
• Support
  :
  Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely support for UNIX/Linux-related issues and provide general technical support for system users.
• Security Compliance
  :
  Follow standard operating procedures to maintain and enhance the security posture of the environment, including adherence to the DISA STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) process.
• Task Automation
  :
  Schedule tasks using software support tools and scripts.
• Collaboration & Prioritization
  :
  Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve organizational goals, effectively setting priorities and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.

• Bachelor's in computer science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering
  • 0 years of experience with BS/BA
  • 2 years of experience with AA/AS
  • 4 years of experience with no degree
• DoW 8140 Compliance
  - CompTIA Security+ or Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Systems Security Certified Practitioner
• Certifications in Red Hat Linux or Unix OS administration
• Active Secret US security clearance
