Position Summary:The Supply Planning Supervisor leads the preparation and execution of the facility’s production schedule, maximizing output and ensuring a reliable supply of materials and finished goods. This role is critical for maintaining production flow, supporting customer service, and resolving invoice discrepancies. The manager supervises the Production Planner staff, reports to the Director of Factory Supply Chain, and collaborates closely with Operations Managers.
Important Note: This is a full‑time, onsite position requiring in‑person support.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership, coaching, and daily guidance to the Material Planning/Production Scheduling team.
Develop staff to meet departmental objectives. - Production Scheduling:
- Coordinate daily, medium‑, and long‑term production schedules.
Integrate corporate master schedules with plant capabilities and constraints.
Lead weekly production planning meetings and communicate priorities with corporate planners.

- Material Supply Management:
- Oversee material requirements planning to ensure proper supply while controlling working capital.
Communicate and confirm purchase orders with suppliers; coordinate contracts with corporate buyers.

- Drive improvement projects focused on KPIs, workload balancing, stock cover, supplier service, and schedule attainment.
Report, investigate, and implement improvements using factory dashboards and quality systems. - Operational Support:
- Serve as the escalation point for material planning issues, supply shortages, and order discrepancies.
Lead and participate in cross‑departmental meetings to support operations.
Monitor late items and open orders, facilitating corrective action as needed.

- Safety, Environmental, and Quality Compliance:
- Adhere to and promote factory safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company management systems.

Education Requirements:
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Requirements Planning or Production Planning preferred; will consider candidates with 2+ years of experience in Production, Inventory Control, or Materials Planning in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in Production Scheduling, Inventory Control, Materials Planning, or Production Planning required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required; SAP experience preferred.
